Moskau MoMA 03.07.2017-20.08.2017
From 03.07.2017 to 20.08.2017 I will be represented together with Galya Popova with an installation in the Moskau Museum of Modern Art.
The idea of the installation is based on my new book of German poems "Orte"(Moloko Print 2017).

"Es schüttelt sich die Leichtigkeit / was von der Schulter": Mit diesem Satz beginnt die außergewöhnliche künstlerische Zusammenarbeit - eine poetische Reise voller Sprachlust und Gedankenspiel von den Krümeln des Lichts zum Flackern der Stroboskope, vom Provinzzug, der durch die Wiesen schunkelt, in den Mangrovensumpf, von der Spinne, die Gras kämmt, zu den Raben, die Fabeln krächzen. Eineinhalb Jahre lang spielten die LyrikerInnen sich gegenseitig Bälle zu, bis am Ende ein kollektives „Kettengedicht“ entstanden und jüngst unter dem Titel Flüsterndes Licht im Haymon Verlag erschienen ist - nun als Uraufführung im Literaturhaus Hannover zu erleben, ergänzt und kontrastiert durch die Interventionen des Jazz-Schlagzeugers Philipp Scholz!

“Between Tongues / Tarp kalbų”!
When?

at 5 p.m. / 17 val.
Where?
At the Writers’ Union of Lithuania / Lietuvos rašytojų sąjungoje.
Who will read and play? Who will perform?
The poets:
Marco Grosse (Italian and German)
Žygimantas Kudirka (Lithuanian and English)
Schirin Nowrousian (German and French)
Rūta Suchodolskytė (Lithuanian and English)
and (most probably) one more poet whose name is still flying in the air. We will let you know as soon as it has landed!
The musician:
Michaël Grébil.
Michaël will come along with – at least! – two of his beautiful instruments: the lute and the cetara!
Stay tuned!

“Between Tongues / Tarp kalbų” is a special Poetry Event bringing together poets who write in (at least) two different languages. It's a celebration of multilingualism. For the poets and translators involved the meeting starts already on Monday 15 May, and the reading on 20 May is the closing event of what will be an intense one-week encounter all around poetry – in six different languages: Lithuanian, German, French, Italian, English and XYZ (see the point of the flying name of the ‘missing’ poet above).
The translators who come and work with the poets must of course not go unmentioned. We are vey happy to work with: Ramunė Brundzaitė, Dainius Gintalas, Austėja Merkeviciūtė and Markus Roduner!
Join us for the reading on 20 May that turns languages into music and music into languages (and water into whiskey or something like that). We’ll be very happy to see you there!
And if you want to save another date right away – as you are now already trained to do so – please also save the date of Thursday 18 May at 3 p.m. (15 val.) and come to our Public Discussion/Round Table at Vilnius University (Universiteto gatve 5, Room 92) where we will talk about what it means and how it is to write in more than one language! (A separate invitation for the 18 May will follow later.)

Flüsterndes Licht. Ein Kettengedicht
Vorankündigung: Flüsterndes Licht
(Erscheint im Frühjahr 2017)
Fünf namhafte LyrikerInnen der Gegenwart - ein Gedicht. Das kollektive Gedicht ist in unseren Breiten seit den Siebzigern bekannt. Es basiert auf dem Renshi, der modernen Form des japanischen Renga, dem althergebrachten Kettengedicht. Fünf renommierte PoetInnen unserer Zeit haben sich zusammengefunden, um ein solches Kettengedicht zu verfassen. Im E-Mail-Austausch zwischen Nora Gomringer, Marco Grosse, Annette Hagemann, Ulrich Koch und Klaus Merz ist das vielfältige lyrische Gewebe im Laufe von eineinhalb Jahren zu 90 Strophen angewachsen.
